By chance, He Duanduan and Ling Yifeng switch souls and act out a series of hilarious and awkward episodes in each other's parallel worlds. After realizing that a professor is the key, they resolve to find each other, but the pull of their Manzhushahua bracelets leads them to uncover the professor's secret. Instead, he inadvertently uncovers the Zodiac Beasts hidden within them. He Duanduan slips into the time of her previous life and forgets Ling Yifeng. With the professor's help, Ling Yifeng travels to that past, only to discover that their fate and bond were already set in their previous life. To awaken the Snake Zodiac within He Duanduan, they stay by her side at all times. Bound by the professor's restrictions on the temporal fabric, the overseer cannot enter the past and can only cross through time to warn them not to change what is destined...
