Longing for You: Yaoliu Sequel, An Unfulfilled Longing

The tragic love story between Xiang Liu and Xiao Yao in Lost You Forever is an everlasting regret. Tan Jianci brought Xiang Liu vividly to life in the drama, conveying with his eyes the unspoken attraction between them, their intense push and pull, and their irresistible sexual tension. Xiang Liu’s love for Xiao Yao is restrained and self-denying. He doesn’t want her to know or feel indebted to him. It’s a love with something almost divine about it. Who could possibly resist? The greatest tragedy isn’t that Xiang Liu died in battle, but that Xiao Yao will never know how deeply he loved her or how much he did for her. That is what inspired me to write this sequel. I hope that in this parallel world, Xiang Liu didn’t die, and that he and Xiao Yao get to live extraordinary lives in the world of the Classic of Mountains and Seas.
