White Moonlight

I’m getting married,

but I never expected that at my bachelorette party,

I’d accidentally overhear my boyfriend’s friend teasing him in the restroom.

“What, you’ve finally moved on? Congrats, buddy. You can finally forget Tang Wan.”

“Oh, right. I heard Tang Wan got divorced.”

My boyfriend, who’d been so calm and composed just moments ago, suddenly lost it. His voice turned shrill. “What did you say?”

For six years, I’d never seen him like this, so vividly alive.
