[Road-trip story / Northwestern China / The leads meet on the road]
[Art teacher + male photographer + devoted, sensitive but stubborn hero whose heart is set on the heroine + heroine is perceptive and tender toward him + mutual compromise and support + one-on-one romance + mutual attraction + investigation and adventure + mutual salvation + no tiresome dithering]
With a cigarette and a train ticket, Xu An stares coldly at the desolation before her.
A camera and a man named Longda disappearing into the wind are all she remembers about him.
He walks toward her and plucks the cigarette from her lips with two fingers. “Still smoking? Aren’t you afraid of dying?”
“If I were afraid of dying, would I have come?”
“The wind out here can eat you alive. If you’re not leaving, suit yourself.” Though he says this, the man holds out a hand to help her into the car.
Xu An gives a faint smile and takes his hand. They head west, crossing Hoh Xil, Golmud... chasing the wind.
[Romance / youth / mutual salvation]
A road-trip story inspired by true events.
Her escape, her decision to leave without a word, is the only salvation she has. If the road is a direction, then Jiang Che is the only light.
Jiang Che stayed behind after his aunt fled and mysteriously disappeared all those years ago. Xu An’s escape, however, gives Jiang Che a reason to stay.
One search, one encounter. Together, they find the person who understands them best and uncover the truth behind the past: his aunt’s mysterious disappearance, and his family’s attempts to hide the truth and stop him. What secrets lie behind it all?
“Will the wind ever stay, for me?”
“What I’m looking for is the wind’s birthplace.”
“You wear the glacier on your shoulders. I’ll bring you Gesang flowers.”
It will be finished.
Because the scenery in the article is the same as what I saw when I went to the northwest 😢 I am very touched. I also like the rapid development of the love line. Come on [please update]
