The Dream Begins: Path to Immortality is a long-form, classical xianxia novel about Lin Xi, a modern girl who dies of heart disease and transmigrates to the world of cultivation, where she embarks on the path to immortality.
Regrets from a Past Life, Seeking the Dao in This One
Lin Xi died young in her previous life because of a congenital heart condition. Reborn in the Canghai Realm as the daughter of a cultivation family, she carries with her a longing for her family and a yearning for a carefree life. In this life, she possesses a rare single water spirit root and a pure yin body. Her talent is extraordinary, but her unusual constitution also makes her the target of many who covet it.
A Long Road to Immortality, Fraught with Danger
After joining the Tianya Sect, Lin Xi gradually discovers that this world is far from as peaceful as it seems. Under the sect's calm exterior, undercurrents swirl, and demonic cultivators lurk in the shadows. The Qingyan Ring, a treasured heirloom passed down through her family, seems to conceal secrets even her parents never revealed. As her cultivation advances, she gradually uncovers the mystery of her origins, only to become entangled in an even greater conspiracy.
Seeking Immortality Without Losing Sight of Her Heart
The path of cultivation means both defying heaven and cultivating the heart in search of the Dao. Lin Xi endures hardship as she grows, conquering inner demons and dispelling illusions until she transforms from a naive young girl into a cultivator who can stand on her own. She must protect those she holds dear while forging a carefree path to immortality of her own in this brutal world of cultivation, where the strong prey on the weak.
It's been a long time since I've seen a traditional fairy tale.
