Immortal Maiden, How Foolish! This Man Is a Heretic!

[Misunderstandings that make the protagonist seem extraordinary + fantasy worldbuilding + comedy + disciples who are all great demons + I'm really not an evil cultivator + Wait, I'm actually a gentleman!]

He pursued the Dao through martial arts, but accidentally wandered into the world of cultivation.

At an old temple in the green mountains, Li Changsheng was just a man in a blue robe. He never expected to somehow become the leader of an evil sect.

For no apparent reason, two rebellious disciples brought him a fearsome reputation. For no apparent reason, a frost-cold female immortal came to his door to slay demons and exterminate evil.

Unfortunately, Li Changsheng was a theoretical cultivator. His casual, offhand advice somehow contained the deepest truths of the Great Dao, and from then on, everything changed.

The female immortal willingly left her prestigious orthodox sect to become a disciple of the leader of this evil sect.

Even the proud, unruly, and noble eldest princess, a fearsome powerhouse, was utterly impressed by him and cried, "Immortal, you must teach me!"

At this point, countless prestigious orthodox sects learned of his ability to bewitch people's hearts, and loudly declared they would join forces to punish him.

Some were so furious they slapped their thighs in frustration. "Immortal Maiden, you're being foolish! This man is a heretic!"

Li Changsheng could only protest his innocence. He had perfectly proper values and was a true gentleman. How could they slander an innocent man like this?

All those wicked deeds were committed by my rebellious disciples. I'm really a good person!
