In the year 2023 of the Great Xia calendar, the island nation dumps vast quantities of nuclear wastewater into the sea.
Fifty years later, the effects of the contamination cause large numbers of mutated beasts to appear across the island nation. In just one year, the entire country is overrun by these creatures, and only a few families escape to Huaxia to seek refuge.
The contaminated seawater evaporates and falls as acid rain across the world. Mutated beasts and plants begin appearing in more and more places, and city after city is swallowed by them. Humanity, too, falls from the top of the food chain.
More than 200 years later, spiritual energy begins to revive on Earth. People awaken their “crests” in waves, becoming extraordinary individuals who wield supernatural powers. They begin counterattacking the territories occupied by the beasts in the north. The most outstanding among them are the Council’s Pioneer Corps and the mercenaries of the elite financial groups.
To keep Huaxia peaceful and prosperous and train the next generation, the Council establishes numerous Cultivation Academies across the Alliance. Their mission is to train those who awaken extraordinary powers and form teams of heroes to save the world. The public calls these academies “Doomsday Hero Academies.”
After his adoptive parents go missing, the protagonist, Su Shen, struggles to survive while caring for his younger sister, Yuan Xiaomi. Against the backdrop of this era, what kind of story will he write?
Will he go along with the times and scrape by to survive?
Or can he forge a path no one else has ever walked, one that belongs to this era alone?
Ah, no one else. I feel like the writing is okay, pretty average. At least the 50th chapter is not that bad. [Laughs and cries] What about adding an emotional line like family love, I don't think it will interfere with the main plot at all.
Everything is about past and present lives, it's all about fate
