May You Find a Good Man

On the day I came of age, the snow fell heavily. Su Cheng said he wanted to break off our engagement. I readily agreed, then shut myself away behind high walls to lick my wounds. Later, a gentle breeze came along, choosing to blow against me with tenderness and strength. I thought he would be like Su Cheng, reproaching me and ignoring me. I never expected him to become my salvation. I retreated, pretending not to see his feelings. Yet he never let up or left, remaining constant all along. Amid the sound of the wind and rustling leaves, Lin Xun chose me without hesitation. So, beneath the blazing afternoon sun, I firmly rejected Su Cheng. A figure dressed in white approached from afar. I stood up, took the sweets wrapped in my sleeve, and handed them to Lin Xun.
