The historical images we know may be just virtual images that are constantly being transformed and changing in historical writing. This book focuses on 20 figures who occupy an important position in big history but are overestimated, distorted, blackened, or obscured by modern people, such as Confucius, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Li Guang, Yang Xiu, Sima Yi, Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty, Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty, Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty, Wei Zhongxian, and Nian Gengyao. By providing a new perspective of observation based on historical materials, it attempts to restore as much as possible these figures who had a key impact on the history of their respective eras, and also restore the era in which they lived.
