Notes on the Afterlife

In 1981, a four-person geological survey team was conducting research in the Gobi Desert southeast of the Taklamakan Desert when three members mysteriously vanished. Only one team member survived.

More than twenty years passed in the blink of an eye. The lone survivor organized a small team to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of his three teammates. Along the way, they discovered the ancient kingdom of Qiemo, mummified bodies with their skulls opened, and people who could live forever. Were these strange phenomena connected to the researchers who vanished all those years ago?
