The Story of Big Brother Jiadai

After reaching adulthood, Jiadai enlisted in the military. Once discharged, he got into an unpleasant altercation at a gathering with friends with Bao Gang, a notorious local tough guy from the capital. Jiadai took down all five of Bao Gang's men by himself. As he left, he said, “From now on, you better get out of my way whenever you see me.” The story quickly spread like wildfire, giving Jiadai a modest reputation and setting him on the road to the underworld.

In the 1980s and 1990s, many people headed south to Shenzhen to start businesses, and Jiadai naturally wanted to make something of himself too. He went alone to Guangdong to pursue his dream of striking it rich. Guangdong was a chaotic place, teeming with gangs of every size, and establishing a foothold there was no easy feat.

Jiadai's bold, generous nature and deep loyalty soon earned him many friends in this unfamiliar city.

His friends came from all over the country, and some were inevitably bullied by local factions, leaving them angry but afraid to speak up. When Jiadai found out, he decided to stand up for them, knowing that only the ruthless could hold their ground. He met with the other side, and a massive clash broke out. Jiadai badly injured seven of them, making a name for himself in a single fight. Before long, he had earned his first fortune. Clever and business-minded, he steadily expanded his ventures. Naturally, after achieving success, Jiadai wanted to return home and develop his business there. So he soon went back to Beijing, where he began to make his mark.

As the saying goes: He braved Shenzhen alone, cleaving the bullies down and shaking the East Gate; Qiao Ba offered a plan to seize Luohu, and the gangs of Hunan and Macau submitted; he fought off the Tianjin gang, crippling the Northeast underworld. Who in the capital hasn't heard of Jiadai, a man who keeps his word at any cost?
