The Young Lady Seems to Have That Illness

This story has no couples, no couples.

Word has it that the head of the Chu family in the capital suddenly brought home a granddaughter from somewhere. Her name is Jimo Cheng, and he dotes on her, treating her even better than his own grandsons.

The Chu brothers: When did he have a daughter? How did we not know?

Word has it that this girl grew up in the countryside, is uncouth, can't read a single character, and is ugly.

The Chu grandsons: Our Chu family has plenty of descendants, but no younger sister. Where did this country bumpkin come from, trying to claim kinship with us?

The head of the Chu family: Nonsense! She's my adopted daughter. She's your aunt, so call her Auntie.

Jimo Cheng was a mystic who had forgotten how old she was. After sleeping for hundreds of years, she awoke in an ancient tomb and happened to meet the head of the Chu family, who was trapped there while conducting an archaeological dig. She “accidentally” rescued him and became his adopted daughter.

Jimo Cheng: The honor of having me as your father is a blessing earned over eight lifetimes.
