Lian Muyao

A thousand years ago, Jian Yao, the eldest disciple of Kunwu Tianzun, entered seclusion to cultivate and break through to the rank of Supreme High God. But her soul escaped and scattered into the home of a rabbit spirit somewhere on You Mountain. The child born there was named Qilian. Though she should have enjoyed eternal life in the Celestial Palace, a twist of fate led Qilian to obtain a fragment of the Demon Emperor Cang Mu’s primordial spirit. This little Earth Immortal now possessed the power of a High God. The two were never supposed to meet, yet fate brought them together, and Cang Mu gradually fell in love with Qilian.

Just as they were about to marry, Liang Fan, the Ghost Emperor, used a scheme to kill Qilian. Her soul returned to its rightful place, and Jian Yao successfully ascended to the rank of Supreme High God. Having lost none of her memories from the past thousand years, Jian Yao persuaded Kunwu Tianzun to leave seclusion and settle unfinished business.

When Jian Yao once again stood beside Cang Mu, she said, “I was Li Jingxuan in the mortal world, and Qilian in the Celestial Palace. But I am yours.”

Together, Cang Mu and Jian Yao foiled the Ghost Emperor Liang Fan’s plot to unite the Three Realms under his rule. Jian Yao reunited the shattered, barely surviving Ghost Clan and became its Empress.

Along the road the Demon Clan must take to reach the Ghost Clan, Cang Mu planted flowers. Leading an army of a hundred thousand soldiers dressed for a wedding banquet and riding on three thousand phoenixes, he came before Jian Yao and asked, “Empress of the Ghost Clan, will you join with me in an eternal alliance between our two clans?”
