A Fun History of Records of the Grand Historian for Young Readers (8 Books)

Introducing the Records of the Grand Historian Through a Child’s Eyes: History Told in a Child’s Words. The Records of the Grand Historian is a book of great wisdom, once praised by Lu Xun as “the swan song of historians, a poem without rhyme,” a testament to its unshakable place in history. Using clear, accessible language, this book recounts the events and figures in the original work, making it a rare and valuable introduction for young readers seeking to learn about ancient Chinese history and its historical figures. The complete set comprises eight volumes, retelling selected stories about people in the Records of the Grand Historian across nearly one hundred chapters. Through these stories, young readers can learn how people in the past viewed events and judged historical figures, while also applying modern perspectives to the people and events in the stories.
