During the Republic of China, three disciples of the Yishi Xiaoyaozi, the demon-catching master Yun Jingchu, the fox demon Shen Hongli, and the demon-catching master Du Jun, each bid farewell to their sect and entered the world to make a living. While they were adventuring, they fell in love, separated and reunited, until a hundred years later.
