The Underworld King's Consort Says You're Doomed, So Are You Scared Yet?

[Spiritual energy and ghostly energy return + powerful leads + a slightly villainous heroine]

Qi You was engaged before birth to the next King of the Underworld, who was about to become a king with no subjects left. After her mother and the previous King of the Underworld vanished from the world, she single-handedly held together the entire Underworld and the lineage of spirit illusionists. She guarded the Spirit Illusion Story House her parents had left behind, and at night she and her darling fiancé captured wandering ghosts. Then, by pure chance, an aerial photography enthusiast filmed her, and her over-the-shoulder smile went viral overnight! As spiritual energy and ghostly energy continued to return, Qi You started livestreaming to find more wandering ghosts. She listened to her viewers' stories while searching for the ghosts hidden among them.

Woman: “Master Qi, please save me! I'm still young. I don't want to die!”

Qi You: “When you killed him, did you ever consider that he wanted to die?”

Girl: “Master Qi, a snake spirit has latched onto me! Please save me!”

Qi You: “I can't help you with that. You owe him this. It's karmic retribution, and you have to pay it back!”

[The male lead will remain in snake form for a while. He won't begin to take human form until the Underworld has started to take shape: snake form → half-beast form → fully human form. The heroine's bloodline is a little unusual, which will be revealed in the story, so I won't spoil it here.]
