This book laid the foundation for Wilde's literary reputation and is a masterpiece handed down from generation to generation in the treasure house of world literature. Its pure and beautiful language is exemplary and deeply loved by both children and adults. Oscar Wilde is the founder and representative writer of the British aestheticism movement in the 19th century. His fairy tales are regarded as treasures of children's literature. His picturesque style has a profound influence on the creation of fairy tales in later generations. This book contains all nine fairy tales including Oscar Wilde's "The Happy Prince".
Reader comments
It's pretty good, different readers have different opinions. I personally think that books with a religious nature are not suitable for children who are still ignorant of the world view. This is more like a fairy tale written for adults.
His stories are full of philosophy and emotion, and the words are beautifully chosen. Reading them is like appreciating a poem. Moreover, these fairy tales are very helpful for children's moral education, allowing them to learn many life principles while appreciating the stories. I highly recommend this book!
It's quite interesting to read, and it doesn't seem childish even if it's for adults.
