The Invincible Cultivator

In the mortal world, spiritual energy is scarce, cultivation sects keep themselves hidden, and tales of ascending to immortality are widespread. Li Tianzhen is a poor boy, but he can sense the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, and is gifted, diligent, and eager to learn. When he is ten, however, he falls seriously ill after a fire. Once he recovers, he can no longer sense spiritual energy. Though his path to cultivation is cut short, he passes the imperial examinations and brings honor to his family. The court appoints him county magistrate in a frigid northern land. On his way to take up the post, he saves someone out of kindness and is targeted for revenge by bandits. Just as he is about to die, he accidentally stumbles into a cultivation sect, and from then on embarks on the path to immortality. After enduring countless hardships, he ultimately attains the Dao, becomes an immortal, rises from godhood to sainthood. The road to cultivation is tedious and dull, but Li Tianzhen fears no hardship. Firm in his belief that the strong draw their blades against the stronger, he uses his boundless ingenuity to forge an unconventional path of cultivation and become his truest self. Who could have guessed that the world of the saints would prove to be an equally magnificent and turbulent panorama?
