[Devoted couple + Heroine saves the hero + Palace intrigue + Satisfying revenge + Both leads are clever]

Only after Lin Juan died did she learn that she was behind the struggle for the throne, Prince Qi’s rebellion, and the execution of her entire family.

She was the most renowned noblewoman in Western Jin. An imperial edict made her the new emperor’s consort. She had thought she would be blessed with the emperor’s favor, but their affection was only for show. In the end, all she got was a length of white silk and an abortion pill.

When Lin Juan wakes again, she sees Xie Jiumo, the man who should never have been able to claim the throne, and is overcome with anguish.

The struggle for the throne, turmoil at court, rebellion in Jiangnan, and Prince Qi’s uprising: every step is aimed at Xie Jiumo.

Seeing the emperor who once had to eke out a humble existence in her family’s home, Lin Juan feels pity for him and understands why everything has come to this.

Before the assembled court officials, she angrily lays down her ultimatum:

“No matter what happens, the throne belongs to Xie Jiumo. Even if I become a sinner for all time, it will still be his!”

“No matter how he came to sit on that throne, it is his!”
