Deng Ling, a modern-day wilderness explorer, has her soul transported into a savage beast world where females are scarce, males abound, and the strong prey on the weak. She becomes Hexi, a female of the Fox Tribe. Armed with ancient Chinese martial arts, herbal medicine, and Yuanyuan, a highly intelligent biological System from the 40th century, she struggles to survive against a 24-hour death countdown. She searches for a high-ranking Beast King to form a bond with and extend her life, while also beginning to collect biological data from the beast world.
