The gods return to a world of post-apocalyptic ruins. What dazzling sparks will fly when two different civilizations, futuristic technology and ancient fantasy, collide?
Mutant beasts roam beneath floating cities. When mechs clash with monsters, which side will prove stronger?
"Return" constructs an apocalyptic world after nuclear war, where humans are forced to live in floating cities. This setting is full of imagination and sets a unique background tone for the story. The protagonist Liu Shanhe has a very vivid image. He works hard in the snack street and takes care of his sister. He shows tenacity and responsibility, which readers can easily relate to. The book cleverly combines future technology with ancient fantasy. From the advanced facilities of the floating city to ancient Chinese strange beasts, ghosts and gods, the collision creates wonderful sparks and greatly expands the imagination of the story. The dream part is a highlight. Liu Shanhe transformed into Qin Shihuang in his dream and experienced battles. It was exciting and full of fantasy, adding a lot of mystery to the story. But for now, the plot pace is a little slow, and the introduction of some settings is also a little hasty. For example, the integration of ancient Chinese culture and the apocalyptic background can be deeper. However, these minor flaws do not affect its potential. I look forward to further exploring the worldview, accelerating the pace, and showing more exciting plots in subsequent plots.
