Guo Mingyi is a woman disguised as a man, the heir to a marquis’s title.
She was ambitious, and it took many deaths for her to claim the position of heir. At eighteen, she first met Xie Fuyao. Fleeing for her life with nowhere else to turn, she fell into a lake and was rescued by this foolish farmer’s son.
The farmer’s son was stunningly beautiful, with an almost celestial appearance despite his humble birth.
Xie Fuyao discovered that she had been hiding her identity as a woman for years.
With that pretty face, he said all sorts of things about how much she had suffered and struggled over the years.
Guo Mingyi could only sneer.
She had intended to kill the fool, but then she changed her mind.
If you feel sorry for me, why just say it?
You should experience a woman’s circumstances for yourself.
Xie Fuyao was sold into a male brothel, with no idea who he had offended.
Fortunately, the young woman he had rescued not long ago turned out to be the precious heir to a marquis’s estate.
She was willing to pay to keep him, but she would never stay with him.
Nor would she take him away from this hell that devoured people.
But Xie Fuyao believed Guo Mingyi must love him, just as she had promised.
Xie Fuyao treated Guo Mingyi even better. He had truly fallen in love with her. Before long, Guo Mingyi discovered that the man she had sold to a brothel was the crown prince, missing for many years.
The crown prince had reclaimed his throne and was searching for the people who had once plotted against him.
The man she had bought and sent to a brothel
was the crown prince His Majesty had searched for for eighteen years.
