A mysterious virus descends upon Earth. In a single night, everything you know is destroyed, and the people you recognize turn into bloodthirsty, merciless monsters. Chen Mu is a hapless (un)lucky guy who has to pay to go to work. Then, by chance, he gets a mysterious System.
"Ding! Achievement 'Dancing with the Dead' completed. Congratulations, Host! You've received a mystery box. Open it?"
"Open it!"
Chen Mu has no time to wonder about the sudden voice. He only feels something appear in his hand, and viciously shoves it into the mouth of the zombie in front of him.
With a bang, the zombie's head explodes.
"Congratulations, Host! You've received a piece of 'God's Foot Skin.'"
Only then does he react. He sniffs his hand.
"Ugh! Are you messing with me?"
Why do everyone else's Systems come with storage space and all kinds of resources, while mine only gives me junk?
"What kind of bizarre stuff do you have in your inventory?" Chen Mu is nearly at his breaking point.
"Host, I also have Mona Lisa's bath mitt, Grandma Maria's foot-binding cloth, Count Dracula's sanitary napkin, and the wing of an ancient giant cockroach. I have everything under the sun. There's nothing I can't find, only things you can't imagine. Of course, nothing is free."
Chen Mu nearly throws up blood. Whatever. In the apocalypse, staying alive is what matters. If picking through trash can keep him alive, then he'll do it.
"Congratulations, Host! You've received a rare item: 'An Elementary School Student's Summer Homework.'"
"?" Chen Mu takes back what he said.
