The Top Scholar of Dafeng

Jiang Mingyu, a modern college student, unexpectedly transmigrates to ancient times and becomes the newly appointed top scholar. Green and inexperienced, he steps into the world of officialdom with the brash courage of a newborn calf unafraid of a tiger. Fresh out of the gate and knowing little of the world, he is selected, as custom dictates, to serve as the Crown Prince's study companion. But shortly after his official career begins, the emperor suddenly dies! The Crown Prince ascends the throne, and Jiang Mingyu's status rises along with him. Yet what awaits them is no peak of success, but palace intrigues and factional rivalries, full of twists, deception, and betrayal! To investigate the late emperor's death, the new emperor appoints Jiang Mingyu as a fifth-rank imperial censor and special envoy, grants him an imperial gold mace, and gives him full authority to investigate.
