Paranormal Revival: From the Start, I Became an Ancestral Shrine Tablet

[Horror descends + incense offerings + prices multiplied ten thousandfold + apocalypse + System + no female lead + behind the scenes + Daoist sect]

I, Wang Mingyang, made one wrong move and got tricked by the System into becoming something neither human nor ghost, neither demon nor monster, beyond the Three Realms yet still within the Five Elements: an ancestral tablet!

The bad news is that the world has been invaded by ghosts and monsters. The good news is that I'm an ancestral tablet, the real kind that creaks when the dust piles up!

The uncanny beings descend, the Daoist sect meets its doom, and its teachings are on the verge of extinction.

So I used Daoist scriptures traded from the System to open a Daoist academy and pushed my disciples to work themselves to the bone.

What, the uncanny realms and domains must obey the rules of the uncanny? Watch my Daoist disciples cut down every demon and specter in their path.

My disciples are working themselves into a frenzy, while I lie back and collect enjoyment points. Life as a tablet is just that simple and unremarkable!
