"The Reveries of a Lonely Walker" is the last work of the great French writer Jean-Jacques Rousseau. It is the thoughts and feelings he frankly revealed in the last days of his life, in the tragic situation of "no more brothers, neighbors, friends, no one to interact with".
The book contains ten wandering reveries, expressing Rousseau's noble feelings of admiring emotions, praising himself, and loving nature.
Reader comments
This book is very real and makes me relate to it. Rousseau showed his loneliness and thinking in the book, which also reminded me of my own life. We may feel lonely sometimes, but we also need to learn to enjoy the time we spend with ourselves. I especially hate people who are out to hurt him and make Rousseau's life more difficult. However, Rousseau's love for mankind is really touching. Even if he is abandoned by the world, he can still remain kind. This book made me think about a lot of issues about life and myself, and it is worth reading.
Seeing it here is very attractive to readers...
I haven't read much but I thought it was really interesting. It's just that the first few chapters may be a bit sad, so my suggestion is to skip reading if you can read it.
