In October 1928, Woolf gave two lectures for women at Cambridge University - "Women and Novel". Later, she wrote "A Room Only for Myself" based on this and published it in 1929.
Woolf talked about the plight of women's survival in a patriarchal society, the historical prejudice against women, the common fate faced by women, and the impact of women's poverty on their creations. She proposed that women should recognize their own situation, actively strive for independent economic power and social status, think independently, live freely, give full play to women's greatest advantages, and achieve themselves.
"Women have a highly developed creativity that is inherently complex and powerful... Their creativity is extremely different from that of men. This power is acquired through centuries of severe restraint. It is irreplaceable. If it is curbed or wasted, it would be an absolute pity."

She is looking forward to the emergence of poets, but unfortunately, freedom of speech is not freedom, and the choice that is influenced is not choice. Whether men or women, too many people's minds are divided by judgments from the left or the right. Perhaps only by peeling away these complicated thoughts and seeing oneself from the deepest level can the "poet" return.
