The full text of "The Social Contract" is divided into four volumes The first volume explains the social structure from a relatively model perspective and throws out the core of the book - the spirit of contract. The second volume focuses on the various characteristics of the sovereign body. The third volume specifically discusses several different forms of government and their operating forms, namely democratic government, aristocratic government and monarchical government. Volume Four introduces several social organizational systems, including religion.
