This book is a collection of short stories and short stories by Atsushi Nakajima. It exclusively contains ten masterpieces and is illustrated by the genius cartoonist Satan-kun. Most of his novels are based on Chinese classics, such as "Zuo Zhuan", "The Analects of Confucius", "Zhuangzi", "Historical Records", "Journey to the West" and Tang Dynasty Legends. They combine a strong Chinese classical temperament with the bizarre Japanese ghost story style. He injected modern people's thoughts into historical figures, and the cold characters in ancient books suddenly came to life and became flesh-and-blood, resonant and dramatic characters.
He took the theme of intellectual loneliness and nihilism to the extreme, borrowing the shell of Chinese classical music to create a dream-like, dreamy, solemn and harmonious world. The protagonist in the story is usually a "Hamlet" character with excessive self-awareness and thoughts that delay action, combining tragedy and comedy. However, Li Zheng, who transformed into a tiger, and Wu Jing, who pursued the meaning of life, finally solved the puzzle and ignited themselves with actions. This book is specially designed to treat the "tangled emptiness" syndrome among literary and artistic young people. It soothes the liver and regulates qi, and the medicine can cure the disease.
Reader comments
Come and read the article "The Story of the Mountain and the Moon". The author writes it very well. I am also grateful to the translator for allowing me to read such a good article without speaking Chinese.
This article makes people think deeply about philosophy and can also serve as a warning.
I like this paragraph: "In the past, I would be surprised that I turned into a tiger, but recently I found that I was actually wondering about being a human being."
And this paragraph: "In fact, everyone is a beast tamer, and the beast is nothing more than a person's temperament."
What is the difference between man and beast? If we can't control some of our bad temperaments, words and deeds, what's the difference between humans and beasts?
There is also this paragraph, which has such a profound and warning meaning: "I was deeply afraid that I was not a beautiful jade, so I did not dare to think hard about it, but I half believed that I was a beautiful jade, so I was unwilling to mediocrity and live among the rubble. So I gradually separated from the world and alienated the world. The result was that resentment and shame increasingly fueled the timid self-esteem in my heart."
If you don't want to be the protagonist in the story who is arrogant and unwilling to work hard, wasting time all day and regretting becoming a tiger, just calm down, study actively and polish yourself seriously.
The characters in the story are all very vivid. Characters like Li Zheng make people love and hate them. The plot of the story makes people laugh at one moment, and makes people think deeply at the other. In short, reading this book is like entering a dreamlike world. It is worth reading!
This style of writing suits me very well
The first few articles about Chinese culture have novel perspectives and are very thoughtful. Each story is not long, making it a good bedtime read.
