The Ghostly Fetus

A woman got lost in the mountains and asked my father for directions.

My father happily took her home, saying he wouldn’t have to spend money to buy a bride anymore.

The woman was beautiful, and quite a few villagers saw him bring her back.

That night, my older brother and four men from the village crept into her room. Their miserable wails lasted all night.

The next day, the woman was dead. Her eyes were wide open, and the corners of her mouth were twisted into an eerie smile.

On the third day, my brother and the other four men all started getting big bellies.
