Betrothed Before Birth, the General’s Daughter Only Wants to Go to War

[Devoted couple + marriage before love + secret crush + happy ending, no contrived drama, sensible values and attitudes toward love]

In the Tianqi Kingdom, Ding Ling is the legitimate daughter of the military Ding family. Ever since she was young, she has loved practicing with weapons and studying tactics. Sometimes she is cool and quiet; at other times, she's mischievous and unpredictable. Her parents are stationed beyond the border for much of the year, while her younger brother, Ding Chen, accompanies their father to gain experience. Ding Ling thinks she will be staying home alone, waiting for the seasons to pass until the right moment comes to tell her father she wants to join the army. But who could have known that when Prince of War Qi Zheng returns victorious, an imperial decree will bind Ding Ling and Qi Zheng together in marriage?

They say the Prince of War is cold and keeps his distance from women, ruthless in battle. Like her father, he leads troops into war, though one fights in the west and the other in the south. How could someone so far away suddenly return, and end up betrothed to Ding Ling...?
