I brought you to the Tang dynasty to save the Three Realms, so why did you take matters into your own hands and destroy them first?
Exorcising demons and vanquishing monsters, upholding justice in the world?
I’ll uphold your grandpa!
The gods and Buddhas in the heavens do nothing but line their pockets and abuse their power, toying with mortals however they please.
The so-called monsters you condemn have kept the people safe and the weather favorable year after year, bringing blessings to the world. In the end, they were killed without even a whole corpse to bury, all because they lacked the right credentials.
Why can your mounts and attendants descend to wreak havoc in the mortal world, then get away with a mere apology, while other monsters are wiped out to the last one just for stealing a little lamp oil?
Are demons born to die? Are monsters born evil?
Now that I’ve transmigrated into the world of Journey to the West, I’m going to find out: what gives you the right?
“Men, charge! Storm the Hall of the Celestial Court and capture the Jade Emperor! Kick down the Jade Pool and beat up Tathagata!”
“My king, Tathagata is at Spirit Mountain.”
“Of course I know Tathagata is at Spirit Mountain! Capture the Seven Fairies and bring them here first. I suspect they’re spies from another world. I’ll interrogate them properly before anything else.”
