The Top Assassin Moonlights as the Best Healer

[BG, female-oriented full-dive game, slightly slower pacing. A gentle, slow-burn male lead and a technically skilled female lead. Keywords: companionship; healing; perfectly aligned interests and values; unspoken understanding.]

In the online game, Gu Xici is the strongest female assassin, “Junzijing,” with razor-sharp skills and a mind of her own.

She makes a point of antagonizing the popular guild Drunkenly Raising a Lantern. Whenever they take on a boss, she swoops in to steal it; whenever they fight a guild war, she shows up to stir things up. Drunkenly Raising a Lantern and its fans see her as a thorn in their side, targeting her in every way and wishing they could drive her out of the game.

On her alternate account, she is the strongest healer on the server and the lead actress in Sword’s Fated Bond, a popular, award-winning game-based fan work. She is also the “apprentice” (in name only) of Shixijian, the game’s director and strongest sword cultivator. She has the only full-map resurrection skill on the server, and countless players are fighting tooth and nail to team up with her.

On the forums, a post titled “Exposing the Scumbag Nature of Shixijian, Famous Game Fan-Work Creator” quickly goes viral. A sprawling 20,000-word post recounts a love triangle between Shixijian, the notorious female villain Junzijing, and his apprentice Xue Huanyi.

Gu Xici finds it hilarious and quickly leaves a new comment, playing the fool and fanning the flames.

The male lead of the whole affair is right beside her. He frowns and thinks for a moment, then says, “I’ve got a new idea.”

With a few bold strokes, he finishes a new work.

After reading it, she is thoroughly impressed. When it comes to being absurd, you really are the best.
