Now, I Fight to Protect

[Ancient martial arts + urban fantasy + mind games and ruthless battles + not mindless wish fulfillment + slow burn + equally powerful male and female leads + sci-fi apocalypse]

Yan Xinyu has just returned from studying abroad when she calls her childhood friend Ren Wanqiu to pick her up at the airport. Ren Wanqiu, who has gone back to his rural hometown for a relaxing vacation, reluctantly turns around to make the drive back. The two have long been in love with each other, and the thought of reuniting after a long separation fills them with joy. But things don't go as planned. Ren Wanqiu dies in a car accident on the way to pick her up. The devastating news leaves Yan Xinyu heartbroken, and she falls unconscious at home, unaware that the whole thing was orchestrated by a man in black.

After the accident, Ren Wanqiu's soul unexpectedly transmigrates to Blue Star, a parallel world. He has lived with his grandfather since childhood. This world is extremely similar to the one he knew in his previous life, yet also different. Their love spans two lives, and both remain attached to each other, but in this life, he has no information about Yan Xinyu. Also, having practiced martial arts since childhood, he is sent away by his grandfather at fifteen to the city where he was born and raised in his previous life. Thus begins an extraordinary journey...

This is a story about two equally powerful leads. The synopsis doesn't do it justice, so please head to the main text.
