"The Crowd" is the foundation work of group psychology. It has profoundly influenced scholars such as Freud, Jung, and Tocqueville, as well as political figures such as Roosevelt, Churchill, and de Gaulle. In 2010, French "Le Monde" and Flammarion Publishing House jointly launched "20 Books That Changed the World", including "The Crowd".
