How Do I Survive When Everyone I Meet After Transmigrating into a Book Is a Lunatic?

[Transmigrate into a book + abuse the scum and face-slap them. First-person wish-fulfillment story. Some things left unexplained early on will be clarified later through shifts in perspective.]

As a professional ghost who transmigrates into books to climb the rankings, I chose the highest-difficulty abuse-romance instance to earn enough points.

It's an old-school tragic romance. The heroine is abused in body and mind before dying a miserable death. After transmigrating into the story, I have just one goal: survive to the end.

My first move after entering the instance is to beat up the vicious female antagonist and turn the tables on the scumbag. The whole way through, everything goes smoothly. But does everyone I meet seem a little crazy?

Is the man speaking so gently and warmly to the heroine the male lead? Is the vicious female antagonist who bullied the heroine to death in the book actually helping her? What on earth is going on? Why is everyone acting differently from the original story?

The System says it did its best. "Dear Host, you're on your own."
