Tales of Phantom Spirits

My father was trapped in a Soul-Hanging Staircase while robbing an imperial tomb and was worked to death inside the tomb. My second uncle was exploring an underground immortal palace in the Hengduan Mountains when a Heaven-Hanging Divine Tree swallowed him, leaving him floating in the palace forever. My third uncle went to northern Myanmar to smuggle jewelry and ancient jade, wandered into a primeval forest, and went mad. No one knows where he is now.

I was an ordinary man, but I encountered a master of the strange arts of Henan. After narrowly escaping death, I obtained the extraterrestrial Scarlet Crystal. I encountered the Japanese emperor’s advance team sent to slay dragons and nearly lost my life, only to survive thanks to the favor of the Phoenix Blood Jade. I encountered the ghost army of Zhang Xianzhong, the Heaven-Breaking Star, and witnessed the world-destroying power of the Seven-Step Killing Stele...

Yet all these coincidences and strokes of luck slowly drew me into a shocking conspiracy.
