This book is a representative work of Yumoto Goichi, a well-known Japanese monster researcher and collector. The book brings together the essence of the collection of Japan's first and largest Yokai Museum, with nearly 500 Yokai-themed art collections, including scrolls, clay dolls, Uchiwa fans, Sugoroku, Haori and other forms. These artworks were collected and sorted by Yumoto Goichi who spent his whole life. More than 400 of them were published in China for the first time. They filled many gaps in the study of Japanese monster culture and are precious materials for understanding and studying Japanese monster culture.

It mainly displays the monster elements in modern Japan, scrolls and daily necessities. There is no textual research, and there is no story about monsters. It is just a picture book with a very brief introduction. If a painter wants to use it to draw materials, it can be a reference.
I especially like those Hyakuki Yakō scrolls. The monsters appear as the protagonists, and they look so carefree. It's really interesting. Moreover, through this book, I have a deeper understanding of Japanese monster culture. The author's research spirit is also very admirable. He has filled in many research gaps for us.
