“In the beginning, the primordial darkness stretched on without end. Pangu split open chaos with his axe. Clear qi rose, while turbid qi sank, dividing chaos into Heaven and Earth. Pangu’s body became the sun, moon, mountains, and rivers, giving rise to the Primordial World. Nuwa molded humans from soil infused with her breath, giving the clay figures souls and life. Thus humanity was born in the Primordial World. The Three Human Emperors and Five Sovereigns governed the human race and established its order. The title of Co-Lord of the Human Race passed through many hands before reaching the Shang Dynasty. The third prince, Yin Shou, murdered his father and elder brother to seize the throne. Enraged, the Heavenly Dao sent down a divine punishment to discipline him. Unwilling to see innocent humans die in disaster, Nuwa bestowed the supreme treasure, the Investiture of the Gods, to pacify their souls. Whoever became Co-Lord of the Human Race could open the list and appoint the wrongfully killed souls recorded upon it. As the divine punishment spread in every direction across the land, a calamity of slaughter across the Six Realms was about to begin…”
(This book draws on the world of Investiture of the Gods, a Ming-dynasty fantasy novel about gods and demons. Many of its scenes and events are fictional. Any similarities are purely coincidental.)
P.S. I’m no professional writing great, but I’ll update whenever I have time.
Fellow Taoists are welcome to make suggestions and discuss this book together. You can also create your own characters, preferably with a certain detailed positioning. I will describe it appropriately in the subsequent plot. [Ask for attention][Ask for attention][Ask for attention][Like post][Like post][Like post][OK][OK][OK]
