Five hundred years ago, a fierce battle between gods and demons raged above Tianjing City. The God of War, Zu Ji, poured his soul into the Immortal Sword, and his disciple Xuan Yu wielded it to slay the demon lord. The gods won, Zu Ji's soul scattered, and Xuan Yu became the new God of War. The sword's spirit drifted down to the mortal world.
Five hundred years later, the sword spirit took the form of a little girl named Shen Yujing. After experiencing the final battle between gods and demons, she decided to disguise herself as a man and pursue cultivation.
“The little boy I picked up on a whim back then turned out to be the young master of Banyue Manor?!
“My old friend Shen Yujing turned out to be the reincarnation of God of War Xuan Yu's beloved?! She failed to recognize Xuan Yu, yet insisted on becoming his disciple. Are they about to embark on a forbidden master-and-disciple romance?!
“Two senior fellow disciples Shen Yujing met on her cultivation journey turned out to be in love with each other?!” Shen Yujing was stunned when she found out.
My eldest senior brother once told me, “My wish, year after year, is to have someone by my side to play ‘Jade Blossoms Like Water’ with me, and to protect the precious treasure in my heart.” But in the end, he married someone else.
The young master of Banyue Manor told me, “If you want my heart, I'll cut it out and give it to you. I'd even give you the moon in the sky.” But in the end, he was the one who pushed me into the abyss.
The young master of the Demon Tribe told me, “Big sister, I'll protect the people I care about, even if it costs me my life.” But then he said, “If I didn't plan everything myself, how could I lure you into my trap?” So Ah Mang was him all along.
At least I had my dear friend Zhao Lingfeng, leader of the Wolf Tribe. “The Wolf Tribe's loyalty speaks for itself. At my command, the entire tribe, myself included, will obey you.” But in the end, he died by my hand.
What path should I take? Become a god and save the world, or become a great demon and plunge it into chaos?
