Stars on a Snowy Night

Cosmic stardust, the yin and yang of heaven and earth, the five elements returning to their source, and the unity of heaven and humanity! The limitless gives birth to yin and yang. The truth of heaven and earth and the source of the cosmos turn out to be the Star Boat! Good and evil in the mortal world are decided in a single thought. One thought is good, another evil. Good and evil come from the heart! The path of cultivation is the path of the martial world, as this poem bears witness: “Nian Nu Jiao: Ode to Yuyan Rock” Where can I find my sorrows these days? Where can I find joy? A touch of ancient melancholy, I stand alone beneath the vast west wind. In dreams, I gather floating clouds above the Wei River; smiling, I lift the green serpent as the beaded curtain falls. The sun sets behind distant hills, cicadas cry at dusk, and the withered plants and trees seem fit to pluck. The starry wilderness is pitiful beneath this night, yin and yang briefly parted. The dark heavens suddenly spill rain, and the barren plain lies cold and bleak at dusk. The immortals have gone, leaving only their old home behind; the beauty who once came here is now as distant as the river moon. If only the spirits of our old companions still remain, I would yearn for a swift horse to carry me a thousand miles.
