Diamond Drill (Hardcover)

South Africa is the world's largest diamond producer, and criminals have long had their sights set on it. They set up a mine there to extract diamonds and kept their employees under tight control. After processing, the diamonds were shipped around the world as part of a scheme to manipulate the global financial order. Bond was ordered to investigate, only to discover that the mine was a secret military base. Using diamonds, the base had built a laser satellite capable of striking missile sites around the world with its powerful beam. After risking his life time and again, Bond finally destroyed the base and cut off the diamond-smuggling route.
