Peach Blossoms Still Smell as Sweet as Ever

The peach blossoms bloom in radiant splendor.

Tao Yao was once a peach tree on Mount Lingtai Fangcun. Every day, she listened to Patriarch Bodhi's teachings and, enlightened by him, took human form and became a peach tree spirit. Her master bestowed the name Tao Yao, meaning, "The peach blossoms bloom in radiant splendor," and hoped she would never forget her roots.

After her mount, the divine bird Xuanqing, accidentally ate the mount of her senior brother Zhuohua, Tao Yao sought his forgiveness. She and Xuanqing descended the mountain to find a new mount for Zhuohua, setting off on a journey filled with love, hatred, and the trials of cultivation.

Yet in this world, most things end up scattered into the earth and ground to dust. Only their fragrance remains as before.
