A very good book. Especially when I saw the sentence, "Idealism is the tyrant of thought", I was shocked. Thinking about me being tortured by idealism (perfection), always criticizing myself for not being good enough, feeling guilty and depressed, and having trouble sleeping and eating. In fact, although I am not the best, at least I have tried hard~ Hehe
The book is good, but why are the listening and reading out of sync, and the listening content is missing? ][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What][What] Not bad, but why is the listening and reading out of sync, and there is a lack of listening content. This is really a very good book (✪▽✪). I feel that my thinking has suddenly broadened. I can understand many aspects of myself and my own psychological defense measures. Thanks Huh? Very good
The most fascinating thing about reading this kind of book is that you realize this phenomenon, but someone expresses it perfectly in literature and art, and analyzes the causes and effects. This book is easy to understand and has a certain effect. I personally think that the most important part is the shame and projection in the second part.
The summary of psychological defense mechanisms in this book is very practical. As I read and compared it, I found that I or others around me use these defenses to a greater or lesser extent, but to varying degrees. This is helpful for recognizing myself, encouraging myself to lift my defense mechanisms, embrace my true self, and also be able to better understand others and establish more harmonious interactive relationships with others.
To be honest, this book saved me
Friends who read this book, let us continue to grow. When your defense system is triggered, think back to the day you read this book. Maybe you still haven't made changes, but this book will also plant the seeds of hope for you, and one day beautiful flowers will bloom and fruitful fruits will be born.
Superstition illustrates our desire to control this unpredictable world, our desire to feel that we have some degree of control over what happens to us, when in fact, we are often very helpless.
There are a total of ten exercises mentioned in the book, one in the second and third chapters of the first part, and one in each chapter of the second part. They are all at the end of the chapter. You can read them slowly, or you can just do the exercises.
It is indeed because of these real experiences that the writing is so touching and easy to understand. It has indeed broadened my personal horizons a lot. Life is not just a point, but a line and network composed of countless points.
This book is very good! The ten psychological defense mechanisms introduced by Dr. Bourgo gave me a deeper understanding of my own and other people's behaviors. For example, "Block someone if you don't agree with them". It turns out that this may be a kind of defense. The cases and exercises in the book are also very practical and can help us identify and adjust our own defense mechanisms. As the book says: "Understanding defense mechanisms is the first step towards a healthier and more authentic self." Recommended to friends who want to better understand themselves.
After reading it, I feel that I have a new understanding of myself. However, the translation seems not very smooth. I need to calm down and read.
This book has been of great help to me. I initially decided to read this book because I realized my need for this book from a book review, so I also left my own review for readers to refer to the value of this book. There is nothing wrong with defense. The fault lies in our failure to seriously feel the content of life, diligently assume the responsibilities of life, and steadily organize the order of life. All defense mechanisms are essentially our bodies' attempts to better survive in a world of culture and symbolism that it can only crudely understand. The key is that as a will based on embodied reactions and generated in culture and symbols, we should not casually throw the responsibility of our own survival to the body and choose to indulge in "symbolic entertainment", but should cooperate with the body, complement each other, and live healthily. The knowledge in this book can allow you to clearly and accurately understand the principles of your body's reaction, and use behavioral techniques to promote self-development to organize your own protection methods to deal with various information stimuli. (However, please note that we are always "generalizing" and reminding ourselves not to be limited but to grow)
It is indeed very useful, much better than those chicken soup for the soul and nonsense literature.
Thank you very much for this book. I only read valuable books like this on Tomato.
This book is like a psychological tool book for me. In the process of reading this book, you can identify what your own psychological defense mechanisms are and why you choose such a psychological defense. When we develop psychological defenses, trying to recognize our own defenses through mindfulness and breathing can allow us to reduce the control of emotions on our behavior, so that we can do less actions that we regret. The various examples in the book are also very close to reality and are easy to read.
It is really gentle and healing, slowly guiding, giving theoretical support and real-life case analysis, and helping us face our subconscious emotions, those "bad" emotions that may be in the public eye, and reminding us that some diagnoses are just single labels and cannot fully summarize the diversity of people, helping us slowly seek changes. It was still a bit difficult to read it for the first time, but I did learn a lot.
This is a very useful book that has given me a deeper understanding of myself. If you are dissatisfied with your life, you can read more.
My spiritual holy book
Still exploring. I couldn't stand it at first, but the more I watch, the more interesting it becomes.
Tomato, you are very capable. You have all the copyrights. I love you so much.
I read this book because I found that I would subconsciously refute others without realizing that I was wrong. It reminded me of the content of this book when I was defensive, and I could better control my thoughts and behaviors. It was a very useful book for me.
I was surprised to see so many reviews of this book, and the efforts of Tomato collection are not in vain. Tomato also has many books on psychology, but they have very few reviews. I hope there will be more readers with similar interests.
The explanation is detailed, the examples given are easy to understand, and it is a good popularization of science. Very good reference book, very helpful
Recommend! Practical psychology books!
You can read all the suggestions
Great book with very practical content.
Great. Perfect for me.
It's worth a look, and there's something to be learned. I know what kind of defense mechanism I have, and I also gained a method "mindfulness"
The author has rich clinical experience and I deeply agree with many of his views. It is a good book.
