The story just begins, taking place in Long Hong's hometown, City A. Long Hong was born with a catastrophe when he was a child, and encountered a ghost. By chance, he met the warlock Old Man Lan, and became Old Man Lan's only disciple. He later told a story about Old Lan's father when he was a child. When he was a child, he and Old Lan's grandfather met a Taoist priest who was not very good at removing ghosts in a temple when they went home on the night of the Ghost Festival. After they met, they rescued the ghosts and sent them to the place of reincarnation. They avoided the end of being distraught and allowed Old Lan's father, who did not believe in ghosts, to inherit his grandfather's mantle.
