I Use Poetry to Subdue a Myriad Clans

This is an age in which foreign races rise and humanity declines. After the gods fought one another, humanity gradually fell into decline and was forced to huddle in cities. Outside the walls, foreign races eyed humanity hungrily, bent on wiping out the entire human race. It is also an era of Word Cards. If the words written on a card are recognized by Heaven and Earth, the card can transform into whatever those words describe. In other words, the written word becomes law. Word Cards are humanity’s only means of resisting the foreign races. Those who can create Word Cards and use them in battle are known as Word Card Masters. Our protagonist, Qin Chen, obtains a mysterious ancient book: a fragmentary collection of Chinese poetry. The poems written inside are recognized by Heaven and Earth, and from that moment on, Qin Chen embarks on the path of fighting the foreign races. When a teammate is wounded, “Wild grasses spread across the plain, withering and flourishing year after year. Wildfires cannot consume them; they spring to life again in the spring breeze.” Healing! When the foreign races attack, “Three thousand guests are drunk on flowers in the hall; one sword’s frost chills fourteen prefectures!” A sword ray shrouded in icy air flashes past. The invaders are dead! When the foreign races besiege the city, “If only the Flying General of Dragon City were here, the barbarians would never cross Yin Mountain!” “Boom!” A towering general clad in silver armor appears at the city gate, holding the pass alone against a force of ten thousand!
