My Contract with the Young Lady

The down-on-his-luck Chen Tianyu is harshly scolded by his boss at work. He drags his exhausted body back to the small apartment he rents, thinking of the dinner his girlfriend, He Xiaoli, has made for him. For a moment, it feels as though none of the day's troubles ever happened. But when he gets home, there is no dinner. His girlfriend only stares at him with a cold expression. Seeing the suitcase in her hand, he looks at her in confusion. Though he has a feeling about what is coming, he still cannot bring himself to accept it.

Tianyu, let's end things here. You take your broad road, and I'll take my narrow path. Let's go our separate ways.

Chen Tianyu watches his girlfriend walk away, heartbroken. Alone, he goes to the riverside bridge and stares down at the water, unsure what to do with his life.

Just then, a red car pulls up beside him. A woman steps out, wearing white high heels and a pale pink dress. She has delicate features and long, glossy black hair. She is Long Ziyu, the eldest daughter of the Long family. She had gone looking for her boyfriend, Li Ming, only to find him at home with her best friend, Huang Xiaoling. After a huge argument, she drove off alone and ran into Chen Tianyu. This is where a series of events begins.
