So Sweet: I Went on a Blind Date and Married My Boss at Lightning Speed

{Whirlwind marriage + everyone’s favorite + age gap + secret crush}

Lin Xiaomiao takes her sister’s place on a blind date and ends up on a date with her own boss. She might as well sing herself a song of doom. The next day, she’s transferred to a new position, and her boss starts keeping an eye on her. She feels that her carefree days as a junior employee are over.

One decree from the big boss, and she becomes his secretary. Then he slaps a contract on the table, and she becomes his wife. Lin Xiaomiao figures that by day she’s the CEO’s secretary, and by night she’s his bedwarmer.

Back in middle school, you were the top student and heartthrob, while I was an unknown underachiever. Now that we’ve met again, our relationship is complicated...

By day, he’s a composed, aloof, untouchable BOSS. But once he gets home, he’s a completely different person, hugging her and begging for kisses.

During a company promotional video shoot, Lin Xiaomiao gets morning sickness. Rumors spread that her private life is a mess and even she doesn’t know who the father of her baby is. She’s attacked online, and everyone waits to laugh at her. The big boss personally posts their marriage certificate.

The keyboard warriors are jealous of their storybook romance, yet claim that life as a rich man’s wife must be miserable for Lin Xiaomiao. They say the two are mismatched and will surely divorce, and that Lin Xiaomiao will eventually return to being a poor little nobody, kicked out of the house.

Then one day, a short video from one of Mrs. Lu’s alternate accounts goes viral. In it, a certain dad has just settled the baby, and is wearing an apron and holding a spatula, looking furious. “You’re not allowed to wear skirts that show your legs, you’re not allowed to go to bars, you’re not allowed to come home after nine at night, and you’re not allowed to...”

Lin Xiaomiao glances back. “What else am I not allowed to do?”

The CEO of the Lu family panics under her gaze. But remembering his position as head of the household, he straightens his back and answers with forced bravado, “You’re not allowed to make me kneel on a washboard!”
