After Ji Ruo died in the modern world, fate brought her back to her previous life. But here, she had no grudges, no ties, and nothing left to cling to. Now that old acquaintances have returned and the past is repeating itself, she cannot understand why she has been given another chance.
Since she cannot fight against being reborn, she will live this life for herself alone. No prestigious family estate or general’s manor will ever imprison or use her again. In this life, she belongs only to herself.
Content warnings:
1. The heroine longs for freedom. If you want to read about someone adapting to life in ancient times, this story isn’t for you.
2. The characters are imperfect. The heroine isn’t good at everything; she sometimes overlooks things, schemes and uses others, and can be selfish and sentimental. The hero is intelligent and ambitious, not a lovesick fool, and romance is not his sole focus.
3. The supporting characters have minds of their own and won’t revolve around the main characters.
I just finished reading Exquisite Self-interest, and I couldn't stop reading this book. Is there more to come from this book 😢😢
The story is very short, and the male protagonist's relationship is a bit inexplicable. However, the fact that the female protagonist's father is the mission keeper is more eye-catching. The emotional line is just average. It would be better if the story had more content. Overall evaluation: You can watch it when you have nothing to do. Please rate it four stars.
