Shadow Cat: The First Year of the Genesis Universe

[Wildly imaginative + sci-fi mystery + hilarious wish fulfillment + overpowered leveling + sweet romance + X-ray vision] What would you do if your cat evolved to become smarter and stronger than humans, then tried to wipe us out and rule the universe? Obviously, you’d keep training and leveling up until you could defeat the cat race. In 1983, a cat named Mimi began training alongside its owner, setting the cat race on the path to evolution. By the time human technology reached the crystal-energy age, the cats had advanced to a level beyond human imagination. Mimi even founded a universe for the cats: the Kaiyuan Universe. The cats lie low there, occasionally sending powerful Shadow Cats, Enchanting Cats, and Origin Cats into the real universe to wreak havoc. In response, the human star nations establish the Security Bureau to fight back against the cat race. By a twist of fate, the little-known Jing Lei joins the Bureau and obtains an unnamed cultivation technique that lets him level up faster the more badly he is injured. With his keen detective's instincts and crushing intelligence, he steadily grows stronger, finding sweet love and brotherly friendship along the way. In the end, he and his companions head to the cat race's Kaiyuan Universe to take on its big bosses.
